Conflict is an inevitable reality of life.
No matter how much you love each other, no matter how good-hearted you both are, you're going to have issues at some point.
How you communicate through those issues can make all the difference in whether the discussion spirals into a fight that causes hurt or pain, or if the discussion leads to deeper understanding and growth in your relationship.
This workshop is designed to equip you to navigate your way through conflict.
Grab a notebook and pen (and your partner, if possible) and get started with your training.
You'll learn how to:
- Avoid those big 'blow outs' that come from letting problems build up, and instead, come to a deeper understanding of each other - without having to 'shove everything under the rug' and sit with resentment.
- Manage your emotions during conflict so you can stay rational and open to solutions
- Be honest about how you really feel and communicate your needs instead of just saying what *you think* will 'keep the peace'
- Develop the self awareness you need to take responsibility for how you handle disagreements
- Unlearn old, damaging patterns of communication (that you might not even know you have), and replace them with mature, healthy patterns that foster connection
- The art of diffusing tense situations and pivoting towards understanding
- Support yourself and your partner better during difficult conversations
- Implement practical communication skills that help you both navigate conflict and misunderstandings so that you can create deeper connection in your relationship
- Feel confident and capable in handling conflict maturely so that you don't have to feel unheard
